My Plans for 2017

First published on January 23, 2017
I asked IT professionals from the Rallypoint.com community what topics I should cover in future Linux and FOSS related podcasts. I got great suggestions involving security:
- Sandboxing applications
- Backups and disaster recovery
- Firewalls and antivirus software
And more, but my favorite response suggested something much broader:
“a series where you start teaching as if someone is completely new, and walk them all the way through the most advanced stuff you know. Sort of a ‘how to Linux for beginners’ series.” – U.S. Navy Veteran
I quickly realized how much this aligns with an older post I created for those new to Linux and a new goal to repurpose some blog content in other formats.
So, I’ve come up with a list of goals for this new year to share with you.
- 2 Videos covering security and privacy
- 0 Months without a new YouTube video
- 1 Series of podcasts/videos for “How to Linux for Beginners”
- 7 Completed tracks for Soundcloud and/or YouTube
Time to get started
