Hello World, From bashblog

I'm learning bashblog so I can migrate my blog from the WordPress content management system (CMS). WordPress is a great CMS. As I've said many times, WordPress helped me learn HTML. But it's time to evolve.
I have a few goals with bashblog:
- Simplify my writing process
- Better secure my website
- Challenge myself with another less traveled path
Yes, there are more well known website builders that can do some of those things
- Drupal is more security-focused and uses PHP and MySQL
- GravCMS is really nice, like WordPress with Markdown
- Jekyll is a very popular static HTML site builder
- Basic HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap like I did with the original JtSpratley.com
